Pediatric and preventive dentistry
Our Dr Nikolina Glusica offers children’s dental services for children’s and Infants at affordable prices.
It is recommended that children should go to the dentist with their parents as soon as possible. You should then take them regularly, as often as your dental team recommend. This will let them get used to the noises, smells and surroundings and prepare them for future visits. The earlier these visits start, the more relaxed the children will be.
Good oral hygiene is the key to good dental health and vital in eliminating gum disease and decay which can eventually lead to tooth loss. Our highly trained hygienist and dentists works with you and will ensure healthy gums, fresh breath and outstanding oral health.
Maintaining a good dental hygiene regime at home is essential to helping prevent the build up of plaque and tartar. However, some parts of the mouth are difficult to reach, so it’s important to have then checked up and cleaned twice a year and also it’s vital in order to prevent cavities, gingivitis, and gum disease.
Your hygienist/dentist will also give you advice about your daily maintenance routine so that you can keep your mouth in tip-top condition.
The dentist/hygienist’s main role is to prevent gum disease by professionally cleaning your teeth, a process called scaling and polishing. They carefully remove any build up of plaque or hard deposits of calculus (tartar) above and below the gum using manual or ultrasonic instruments.
The check up
The check up is our regular chance to make sure that your teeth are in perfect shape, and hopefully prevent any major problems before they occur.
At your initial dental check up you’ll meet your dentist and be able to discuss any questions and treatment options you have in mind. We’ll review your medical history and discuss any issues that may affect your treatment.
After this, your dentist will carry out a thorough examination of your mouth checking all of your teeth and gums. We use the very latest dental technology and digital x-rays so you can see exactly what the dentist sees, and ask any questions you may have. We aim to make this experience as interactive and informative as possible.
Finally, your dentist will discuss with you the dental treatment options available and provide you with a suggested treatment plan.
